Is the power pole on my property mine or the network's?▼
If it stands on your land and carries supply to your premises, it is generally a private pole and the property owner is responsible for maintaining it. Poles in the street belong to the distributor. If you are unsure, we can confirm during an inspection.
I have received a defect notice about my pole. What now?▼
A defect notice sets a timeframe for rectification. As a Level 2 accredited provider we can inspect, carry out the required work and complete the documentation the distributor needs.
Will my power be off while the pole is replaced?▼
Yes, for the portion of the work where the service line is transferred. We tell you the expected outage window when we quote.
Can a leaning pole wait?▼
A pole that has developed a lean, moves at the base, or has visible rot should be assessed promptly, since failure brings live conductors down with it. If it looks unstable now, treat it as an emergency.
