LED Downlight Installation done to standard, not to the clock
Layout set out before cutting
Spacing is planned against room size, ceiling height and joinery, so light lands where you use it rather than in a grid down the middle of the room.
Halogen removal
Old fittings and their transformers are removed rather than abandoned in the ceiling, which also removes a long-standing heat source.
Dimmable options
Where you want dimming we specify the fitting and dimmer as a pair, so the range is smooth and silent.
Insulation-safe installation
Fittings are installed with the clearances the product requires, which matters in ceilings with batts or blown insulation.
Colour temperature consistency
One temperature through connected spaces, so the kitchen does not read cold against the living room.

Install and remove the old gear
New fittings go in, old fittings and transformers come out of the ceiling space.

Dimming is tested end to end, and we vacuum the ceiling dust rather than leaving it for you.

Questions we get asked most
How many downlights does a room need?▼
It depends on ceiling height, room size, wall colour and what you do in the space. A kitchen needs light on the benches and a bedroom does not need a grid of them. We set out positions on site and walk you through the layout before cutting.
Can you replace halogens with LEDs using the existing holes?▼
Often yes, where the new fitting matches the existing cut-out. If the old layout was poor, we will tell you honestly that repositioning gives a much better result and what patching that involves.
Are LED downlights safe with ceiling insulation?▼
Modern fittings carry specific clearance and abutment ratings. We install to the rating of the fitting used, which is one of the reasons this is licensed work rather than a DIY swap.
Will my existing dimmer work with LEDs?▼
Frequently not. Old dimmers were built for a much larger halogen load and often flicker or buzz with LEDs. We check and replace the dimmer where needed.
